Alleviate social isolation in a very rural location

Great idea, what does everyone think?

Looks like a popular group from the picture. How many members do you have?

We are your neighbours (well we look across to you daily) from Blairmore. Last year the fund helped us (Blairmore Village Trust) to run a weekly hub to combat isolation and increase wellbeing within our community. We have a mainly elderly population and the hub has been a huge success. We don't offer lunch but we do provide delicious hospitality that always goes down well. We meet every Thursday 10.00am to 12noon and would be very happy to share our experience with you.

I know of this group and they are so pro active in encouraging new members and are very friendly. The older people in this group would be lost without the group

Great idea to bring together those that may be in danger of isolation within their community. Also pleased with the fact that the group are pro active in encouraging new members. Very worthwhile project.

Our ladies and gentleman all enjoy their Wednesday Lunch. They have a good chat and put the world to rights at the same time. For some its the only social interaction they have.

I use the lunch club the volunteers do a fantastic job setting the tables nice every week and take us on trips out we enjoy as lots of members don't have car we can shop, sightseeing, lunch it's good fun

Argyll and Bute TSI will hold a drop in help session on Wednesday (10th January) from 10am-12pm and 1-3pm in the Helensburgh office at 14 Colquhoun Square. If you would like help with the stage 2 application pop in and see us (we will have a cuppa and biscuits on hand too...)
